| Wellington Pantomime Group Present Dick Whittington At the Wellesley Theatre, Wellington 22nd - 26th January 2008 |

| Join Wellington Pantomime for this most magical and enchanting pantomime in the tale of a poor Gloucestershire orphan, his brave cat and their incredible adventures! Dick is a young lad who sets out for London to seek his fortune in London with Tommy his cat. Unfortunately, they get to London to find it overrun with rats - led by the evil and malodorous King Rat. Shopkeepers such as Alderman Fitzwarren are at their wits' end to know what to do about it. The Alderman is very impressed with Tommy's ratting ability and, egged on by his lovely daughter Alice, offers Dick and Tommy work in his shop close to the river. From there the adventure begins, and Dick collides with an all manner of characters along the way including Sarah the cook, Bo Bells and not forgetting the audience's favourite Idle Jack. Expect to be treated to a lively and fun script packed with danger and comedy, adventure and romance! Songs, slapstick and dances come together in this wonderful pantomime, written by Colin Wakefield. Helen Tidmarsh and Susan Green return to the group roles director and choreographer respectively. Steve Bradnum, well known musician in the Wellington area, takes charge of musical direction. Don't miss out on this re'DICK'ulously funny pantomime - grab your ticket quick! This pantomime will also be entering the Somerset Fellowship of Drama 'Cinderella' awards for pantomime excellence in the South West so expect something 'extra special' than anything you've seen before!
